The hotline (152) of the Office for Fighting Human Trafficking under the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry received over 9,000 calls in the first nine months of this year.

Over 774 complaints were related to the jobs abroad, Kamala Aghazadeh, the head of "hot line" service, told media. She said that many complaints were received in summer, 299 of them were connected with "New Life" company.
It was revealed that the company, headquartered in Ganja, misappropriated a large sum of money of defrauded people by promising to employ them abroad, without any agreements with foreign countries.
Aghazadeh said that citizens were offered jobs in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Germany and Russia. Those, willing to live and work in Russia, were mostly promised to work in the construction sector.
Over 675 complaints, received by the hotline, were related to the study abroad, 762 - forced begging, 51 - marriage with foreigners, 138 - information about the brothels, 15 - victims of human trafficking.
Agazadeh said that all calls were directed to the appropriate organizations for necessary actions.
