Azerbaijani border guards detain 86 wanted people last month

The detainees were handed over to the law enforcement bodies, the Azerbaijani State Border Service told Trend. Over 12 attempts of boundary violations were prevented in September. As a result, about 14 people were detained.

Seven detained people are Azerbaijani citizens, one - Iranian citizen, three - Georgian citizens, one - Russian citizen, one - Kyrgyz citizen and one - Bulgarian citizen.

In September, when testing the rules of the regime of coastal areas, about 44 people were detained. Appropriate actions were taken.

Border guards seized 1,256 grams of drugs from illicit trafficking last month. Moreover, smuggled goods worth 1.7 million manat were revealed in 70 cases.
