Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met the Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ankara on Sunday, Anadolu agency reported.
The meeting, which lasted about an hour and took place behind closed doors, was attended by the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
According to the agency, the sides discussed issues of bilateral relations, situation in the Middle East, relations between the Palestinian National Authority and the region's countries, the issue of preserving internal unity in Palestine.
Abbas arrived in Turkey on Sunday with a two-day official visit. During his visit, the Palestinian leader is scheduled to meet with President Gul. On Tuesday, the PNA President will leave for Athens.
