Azerbaijani wanted by Interpol arrested in Baku

An Azerbaijani citizen wanted by Interpol was detained while visiting a prison in Baku today. Eldaniz Behbudov was convicted of a murder committed in Moscow. A criminal case was filed under Article 111 of the Penal Code.

He has been wanted by Interpol since 2000, the Azerbaijani Penal Service's PR Department told Trend.

The 40-year-old Geranboy resident was detained during an investigation. While visiting a prisoner on Dec. 7, he was arrested.
