Azerbaijan stops production of low-quality bread

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry has revealed violations at the bread producing enterprise, which is located in the Nizami district of Baku and owned by Suleyman Adigozalov, the ministry said.

During the inspection unsanitary conditions, lack of necessary conditions for production of food products were revealed at the enterprise.

The State Service took samples of grain produced at the enterprise to conduct laboratory research. As a result of the analysis the degree of porosity and acidity of bread was defined at a level below regulatory requirements. It was also revealed that the production was carried out without the relevant certificates of hygiene and compliance.

In connection with the violations the company's leadership was instructed to suspend the sale and production of bread. The fact is under investigation.
