Photographer of the year selected in Azerbaijan

In addition to the main nomination, the contest also involves a number of others including "Argus" - a reward for the best young professionals, "Debut of the Year"- for the youngest participants, as well as prizes for the masters - "Half a century in the art of photography" and "Contribution to the development of photography in Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijan Union of Photographers (AUP) Deputy Chairman Mirnaib Hasanoglu said.  

The AUP has introduced two new awards for "Best Project of the Year" and "Best Curator of the Year ", which reflect new trends in modern Azerbaijani photography.

This year photographer Emil Khalilov won the “Photographer of the year-2010” contest.

Diplomas "For the contribution to development of Azerbaijani photography" were awarded to Faig Rajabli, Yasar Khalilov, Rafiq Gambarov and Sabir Guliyev (posthumously).
