Three-year old murder case solved in Azerbaijan

A terrible murder committed three years ago was solved in Azerbaijan, Baku’s Khazar district police said.
Resident of Sabunchu district Alexei Juravlev, 31, who was considered missing, was identified killed three years ago. As a result of investigation, police found out that he was knifed to death in Gizil Gum village of Mardakan district by Russian national Victor Kochetkov, 29 on March 3, 2008. Next day Kochetkov came to the site together with his friend Sergei Frolov and burned the body to cover up traces of crime.

One of the criminals was detained, but his name has not been reported yet. Khazar district prosecutor launched criminal investigation under article 120.1 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code.
