TISA’s students shared the Novruz Bayrami celebration with the less fortunate of Azerbaijan

As every year TISA’s (The international School of Azerbaijan) students celebrated the traditional Novruz Bayrami holiday. Primary School students tasted traditional Azerbaijani food, painted eggs, shared typical traditions of Novruz Bayrami with each other.  While enjoying this celebration, TISA did not forget to share this joy with the less fortunate people of Azerbaijan.

“We were so happy that TISA’s teachers contacted us asking to suggest them orphanages which need help. As HOMS group has very close relations with some orphanages in Baku, we were more than happy to deliver TISA students’ presents to those in need”, Egle Kudzmaniene, the representative of HOMS (Heads of Missions Spouses) group said. “There were many nice and delicious things and there were enough of them for 3 institutions: Umid Yeri orphanage, Buzovna’s boarding school Nr.13 and an elder’s home Nr. 6 in Buzovna”, she added.

The Umid yeri orphanage which houses 36 kids has a special connection with TISA. Every Sunday children from Umid Yeri orphanage come to TISA to have workshops of English, Design and Technologies and Computers. This is a united project of TISA and HOMS which is aimed to give a better education for Umid Yeri children.
