American Airlines makes largest aircraft order in history

American Airlines, the third-largest US airline, on Wednesday made the largest order in aviation history, with 460 short- and medium-range jets, and an option of 465 additional aircraft, DPA reported.

The order will be split between the two major manufacturers, Airbus and Boeing.
