Azerbaijani gymnasts win 10 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals at int’l tournaments

Young Azerbaijani woman-gymnasts once again scored high results at the international tournaments. 12-year-old Laman Hajizade became an absolute winner of the international tournament held in Greece. Like three weeks ago in Israel, Hajizade again got all the first prizes and crown of the olive branches as every winner gets at the competitions held in Hellas.

13-year-old Nilufar Niftaliyeva won three more gold medals in the finals with the ball and ribbon, and took priority in all-around. She showed the second result with maces, but the 3rd result with a hoop. In addition, Catherine Prokopenko won the silver with a ribbon and two bronzes with the ball and all-around in the age group of gymnasts born in 1997. Aynur Jabbarli took the second place with a ball and the  third in all-around.

The Azerbaijani anthem sounded over the weekend not only at the tournament in the Balkans, but also in Belgium thanks to 14 year-old gymnast Mansura Bagiyeva. 13-year old Gulsum Shafizade became the second with the ball and the third with maces, and 15-year-old Lala Yusifova showed the third result with a ribbon and maces.

Another tournament, where three young gymnasts proved themselves , was held in Poland. Zarnigar Aliyeva has become the best among the seven-year-old graces, Zohra Agamirova won the gold medal in the age group born before 2001 and Bahar Askerova won the  silver medal.
