President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini, who participated in the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 29), visited Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve.
After familiarizing himself with the exhibits displayed at the museum of the reserve and the rock carvings in the open air, the guest received detailed information about the Gobustan monuments and the results of scientific research conducted there.
It was noted that in 2007, Gobustan monuments were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Noting that this is his fourth visit to Azerbaijan, Peter Pellegrini said that it was his first time visiting the Gobustan Reserve, called the rock carvings of Gobustan amazing, and expressed his satisfaction with the exploration of the monuments and the hospitality shown to him.
At the end of the visit, the President of the Slovak Republic left a message in the reserve's Book of Memory.
