Azerbaijan skier Cedric Notts started his struggle for medals in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada on Feb. 23.
He performed in a giant slalom. Cedric Notts managed to get to the finish for 1 minute 30.78 seconds. He took 79th place among 103 participants.
A number of fairly strong skiers could not reach the finish including American Bode Miller, French Thomas Mermet Blondin, Czech Martin Vrablik and others.
Armenian skier Arsen Nersisyan and Turkish skier Erdinj Turksever also who failed to complete the distance.
Swiss Carlo Janka leads the competition with 1:17.27. The top three also includes Austrian Romedi Baumann and Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal.
