Azerbaijani wrestlers to vie for Olympic berth

In the freestyle event, Azerbaijan's hopes will be pinned on Mirjalal Hasanzade weighing in at 46kg, Kanan Guliyev at 54 kg, Nurlan Hajıyev at 63 kg, Parviz Akhundov at 74 kg and Ali Magomeddibirov at 100 kg.

The Greco-Roman squad will include Murad Bazarov (42 kg), Elman Mukhtarov (50 kg), Rovshan Taghıyev (58 kg), Hajımurad Baghmanov (69 kg) and Hajımurad Chopchiyev (85 kg).
In the women's event, Azeri coaches will field Aydan Safarli weighing in at 46 kg and Patimat Bagomedova at 52 kg. Two Azerbaijani referees will also officiate in the 3-day tournament.
