Vice-president of the European Volleyball Confederation has praised the development of volleyball in Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan can give a lesson to other countries from the point of view of developing sport, in particular volleyball,” Jan Hronek told a press conference in Baku which hosts a second round of the European women's championship.
“Azeri Rabita's winning bronze medals of the European Volleyball Confederation`s cup is a vivid evidence of how much importance the Azeri government places to developing volleyball in the country.”
Hronek also revealed the Confederation`s plans to build a regional volleyball center in Azerbaijan.
“The facility will help referees, coaches and players increase their skills.”
“The center will group both European and Asian countries,” added Hronek.
