Azerbaijani football club Garabagh have beaten Polish Wisla Krakow 1-0 in a first game of a two-legged encounter in the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. Garabagh secured the away win thanks to Vugar Nadirov's 70th minute goal.
The hosts were left ten-man after Gordon Bunoza got his second yellow for a tackle against a Garabagh player. Goalkeeper Farhad Veliyev's save of a late penalty from Maciej Zurawski boosted Garabagh's hopes of becoming a first ever Azerbaijani club to make it to a group stage of an UEFA tournament.
A draw in next week's return match in Baku will be enough for Garabagh to go through. Garabagh reached the 3rd qualifying round thanks to a 3-2 aggregate win over Northern Ireland's Portadown.
