AIBA president awards 17-year-old Azerbaijani boxer

Congress of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) is underway in Almaty, Kazakhstan. AIBA president Ching Chu presented awards to a group of managers for the work done during the 4-year existence of the association.

The awardees also included Vice President of Azerbaijan Boxing Association Agajan Abiyev and 17-year-old Azerbaijani boxer Shaban Shahpalangov. Young Azerbaijani boxer thanked his trainers and Federation’s management for support saying his great dream is to win at the upcoming Olympics in London.
