Azerbaijani boxing team triumphs over Russian rivals

Italian island Sardinia hosted a boxing tournament involving Azerbaijani, Russian and local boxers.

Press service head of the Azerbaijani Box Federation Elnur Mammadli said that the Azerbaijani squad defeated Russian rivals with score 6:2.

The victories were brought to the team by Tural Ahmadov (49kg), Muhammad Abdulgasimov (52kg), Imil Iksanov (60kg), Emil Maharramov (69kg), Vatan Huseynli (81kg) and Abdulgadir Abdullayev (91 kg).

Earlier the Italian team beat Russia with 8:1.
