Azeri classic unifighter Nijat Aliyev (75 kg) has won the world championship in the Russian city of Anapa, which brought together athletes from 30 countries. Mahammad Ziyadov (65 kg) secured a silver medal in the classic event.
Ali Hasanli (55 kg), Emil Mammadov (60 kg), Tabriz Gasimov (65 kg), Ramin Bakhisho (75 kg), Rahib Hidayetli (80 kg) snatched silver medals in the light event.
Classic unifighter Mirbashir Agayev (70 kg) and light fighters Bakhtiyar Hasanli (50 kg), Bahruz Rajabov (60 kg), Hikmet Muslumzade (over 80 kg) grabbed the bronze medal. The Azerbaijan national team finished second after Russia.
