Azeri government seeking opportunities to pay indemnity to citizens losing houses due to construction of U.S. Embassy building

The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry considers the compensation payments to people whose houses were raised to ground as a result of construction of the U.S. Embassy building are excessively increased, Avaz Alakbarov, the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry, told Trend.
According to Alakbarov, at the moment the sources for covering the indemnity payment are in search. However, the court sentence on payment of $280,000- 290,000 for 3-room flats is too high, as there are no such prices in Baku.

The issue on payment of compensation will be resolved soon.
