In the first half of 2024, Azerbaijan received $3 billion in direct investments, according to Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Azernews reports.
Nasirov shared this information during a briefing on the country’s balance of payments statement.
He also noted that direct foreign investments made by Azerbaijan abroad during this period amounted to $998 million.
Additionally, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan expects a surplus of $6-7 billion in the balance of payments by the end of 2024. Nasirov mentioned that the CBA has not revised its forecast for the current account surplus as of July, maintaining a positive outlook for the country's economic stability.
