Gas price to be increased

Price of the natural gas provided for customers will be discussed next year, Azerigas CJSC chairman Alikhan Malikov said.

He says the price of gas imports will rise next year. The price of gas imports is as twice much as the price of gas supplied for customers at present.

Malikov says negotiations on gas imports are ongoing with Russia and Iran. "1.8-2bn cu m of gas is planned to be imported from Iran. Azerbaijan has technical potential to receive this amount of gas," he underscored, APA reports.
