NGOs wrap up second stage of BTC monitoring

National non-governmental organizations have completed the second stage of the audit of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and South Caucasus gas pipelines, according to BP-Azerbaijan.

The audit spanned social problems, human rights, environment, archeology, local resources and commitments the company took upon itself.

As a result of the monitoring, some information and recommendations accepted from BP were defined.

BP representative Dan Bliss said that the company is satisfied with the monitoring and audit programs and expressed willingness to work with civil society members who are interested in cooperating with BP. AzerTAg
