Azerbaijan, Russia to fix date for gas negotiations

Gazexport Officer in Baku Akif Hasanov told APA that the composition of Azerbaijani delegation has not been set yet.

Under an agreement signed in December 2003, Azerbaijan will receive 4.5 billion cu m of gas from Gasprom at a price of $110 per 1,000 cu m in 2006.

As of October, Azerbaijan has received approximately 3.6m cu m of gas (12.1m cu m per day). Daily gas imports will rise to 13.6m cu m in December because of winter.

Since November, 2000 during six years Russia has supplied 24 910.8m cu m of gas for Azerbaijan.
