Gas escaping from main pipeline causes fire in Sulu Tepe

Gas escaping from a 500-mm gas main pipeline caused a fire in Sulu Tepe (a Baku suburb).

Several buildings (reportedly illegally and unsafely built ones) were damaged, but no casualty took place. The gas supply to four districts of Baku was suspended because of the accident.

The damage is being urgently repaired, but the gas supply was not fully restored in the Yasamal district by the Saturday evening. Turan
