Munis to be issued in Azerbaijan

State Committee for Securities chair Gunduz Mammadov said that he is uninformed about the participation in the munis market, APA reports.

"These debt securities will pave the way for solution to social problems, construction of various facilities and implementation of other projects," he said.

The delay of munis issue results from local authorities' unawareness about the efficiency of these financial instruments and it is necessary to increase awareness

"The Committee is negotiating the local authorities. Some municipalities have agreed to the issue of municipal bonds next year," he said.
