Russian gas supplies to Azerbaijan discussed in Moscow

Gazprom Office in Baku told APA that the meeting is being attended by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, Vice-President Elshad Nasirov, Gazprom Officer in Baku Akif Hasanov and Gazprom CJSC deputy chair Aleksandr Medvedev.

No details are given as the talks on the amount and prices are ongoing.

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said Azerbaijan is receiving 4.5bn cu m of gas at a price of $110 per 1,000 cubic meters this year. But, for 2007 Gazprom wants to charge Azerbaijan $235 per 1,000 cu m of Russian gas, which offered $230 previously.
