Azerbaijan's foreign debt to hit $2.1bn

The foreign debt of Azerbaijan is anticipated to hit USD 2.1 billion by this year's end, which is a 27.3% rise from early year.

The Finance Ministry told APA that the foreign state debt reached $1916 billion as of October 1.

The debt will increase by this year's end because of receiving secured loans for giant energy and infrastructure investment projects from international agencies.

In October the ratio of foreign debt to the gross domestic product was 9.7%, per capita foreign debt was $226. The debt service payment was $100m during the first three quarters.
