Salary rises by 21.3% in communications sector

The number of people employed by communications sector rose 8.6% to 21,200 and average monthly salary climbed 21.3% to AZN 219.5 during 2006.

State Statistical Committee told APA that the employees of private sector were four times as many as the public sector and their average monthly salary was AZN 652.3.

The number of hirelings in transportation enterprises rose to 66,700 people, of whom 85.6% worked for public sector. Their average monthly salary rose 27.1% to AZN 163.7.
