Israel keen on importing Azeri gas

Israel is deeply interested in importing natural gas from Azerbaijan and negotiation between the two countries will start soon, said Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev.

He noted that Israel is working on a project on construction of a gas pipeline through Turkey, adding that Israel is importing oil from Azerbaijan at present, APA reports.

"Hayfa Refinery is processing Azeri oil. Azerbaijan satisfies 70% of Israel's annual demand for oil," he underscored.
