The exhibition " Parallel Nippon: Contemporary Japanese Architecture 1996 - 2006 " was held here with organization support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Japanese embassy.
The aim of the exhibition is to event the accurate picture of Japan`s architectural profession in those ten years, during which it generated new forms of value through fine-tuned designs adapted to the evolving demands of the times.
The exhibition was first organized in the Tokyo Museum of Photography then in more than 30 exhibitions in Brazil, Italy, Greece, USA, Iran and others.
Speaking at the ceremony, ambassador Shusuke Watanabe pointed out that the event is important for introducing Azerbaijanis to the Japanese art and architecture. Such events play important role in cementing political and cultural ties between the two countries, he added.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalat Veliyev noted that the present exhibition is part of the series of art and architecture events hold mutually between the two countries.
