National musicians join 'Festival Udine Castello'

Azerbaijani musicians took part in the famous international festival "Festival Udine Castello", Day. Az reported.

The gala concert was opened by artistic director of the festival, "Amici della Musica", a famous flutist Luis Sello. She spoke about her meeting with Azerbaijani pianist, composer Kamala Alizade, their joint concerts and Azerbaijan's rich musical heritage.

The event continued with the eye-catching performance by pianist Kamala Alizade. The pianist masterly performed works by such great composers as D. Shostakovich, F. Chopin, G. Garayev, F. Amirov, as well as the "Rast" by Italian composer Stefano Moscaritolo.

The musician easily captivated the Italian audience.

Later, Stefano Moscaritolo appeared on the stage. He informed the guests about Azerbaijan's  national music, Uzeyir Hajibeyli  and folk instrument - tar.

Together with tar player Sahib Pashazade , Italian pianist brilliantly performed folk songs "Yellow Bride", " Ay Dilber" and  the tarantella by Kamala Alizadeh.

The performance of Azerbaijani musicians was highly appreciated by the Italian media.
