An international forum on "Reforms in the field of culture and art in the new Uzbekistan" has been held in the Uzbekistan Palace of Youth Creativity as part of the International Cultural Heritage Week, Azernews reports.
At the forum, the Uzbekistan Culture Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov made a presentation on "Reforms implemented in the field of culture and art in the new Uzbekistan".
In his speech, the minister noted that the ancestors have always raised the flag of education against ignorance and devoted their intelligence and abilities to the development of science and culture. He added that based on the idea of ??"enlightenment against ignorance", continuous work is being done in the direction of increasing the moral-ideological immunity of the population, especially the youth, and strengthening peace and tranquility in Uzbekistan.
President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktot? Raimkulova, who spoke at the forum, emphasized the importance of culture in the life of humanity.
"Cultural-spiritual heritage is an important foundation for the continuation of generations, education and development of the young generation, as well as the preservation of national identity, and it is an incomparable value of our nation. This, in turn, plays a major role in the formation of national belonging, inner pride and strengthening of free thinking of the young generation," she said.
TURKSOY General-Secretary Sultan Raev, General Secretary of the Turkish Parliamentary Assembly Mehmet Süreyya Er, as well as Azerbaijani writer and publicist Oguz Yunus Isakhanoglu, Chairman of TURKSOY Writers Union, Kazakh poet, journalist and editor Esdaulet Ulukbek and other well-known figures participated in the forum.
The presentation of the "Living History" project proposed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as well as the book National Musical Instruments of Turkic-Speaking Countries published by theTurkic Culture and Heritage Foundation , took place within the framework of the international forum on "Reforms in the field of culture and art in the new Uzbekistan". An exhibition of Uzbek national instruments and the performance "Cholpon" were shown as well.
Established in 2012, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation focuses on the preservation of the Turkic heritage in member countries as well as conducting projects in collaboration with partners in third nations.
The foundation provides assistance in the protection, study, and promotion of Turkic culture and heritage through supporting and funding various activities, projects, and programs.
The organization carries out its activities in cooperation with TURKSOY and the Turkic Academy.
