The Arts Council Azerbaijan has celebrated International Artist Day with an exhibition by Samira Faizova, a member of the Azerbaijan Artists' Union, Azernews reports.
The exhibition "Colors of My Soul" opened its doors to art lovers at the 1969 Gallery in Baku.
December 8 is celebrated as International Artist Day, established in 2007 by the International Association "Art of the Peoples of the World."
In his speech, the head of the Arts Council Azerbaijan Dadashe Mammadov stressed that International Artist Day is a celebration not only for professionals and art enthusiasts. Creativity preserves within a person the ability to rejoice in the world and love it. Familiarity with visual arts allows one not only to expand their knowledge and horizons but also to connect with this wonderful realm. Today, in honor of the holiday, various events are held worldwide, including exhibitions, plein airs, master classes, installations, and performances.
The exhibition "Colors of My Soul" provides viewers the opportunity to appreciate the multifaceted creativity of the young artist and experience moments of personal revelations through the prism of artistic images, expressing deep emotions and experiences through painting. The paintings showcased in the exhibition not only reflect the beauty of nature but also symbolize the subtle emotions and aspirations of the artist, revealed in each brushstroke.
Samira Faizova was born in Baku and graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Azerbaijan, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Samira Faizova is a member of the Arts Council of Azerbaijan.
