Eight-year-old Zuleykha Abdullayeva became winner of the 14th International Music Competition "Pietro Argento" in Italy.
Student of the art gymnasium of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory Zuleykha Abdullayeva won in the nomination of best piano player among her contemporaries. Performing Bach’s Small Prelude, Chopin’s Mazurka and Clementi’s Sonatina, the eight-year-old girl left other competitors behind. She gained 96 of 100 possible points and won Pietro Argento Award as well.
Abdullayeva thanked her piano teacher Nigar Najafzadeh for leading her to this victory.
Representatives of Italy, Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey, Poland, Slovenia and other countries attended the competition.
