Azerbaijan’s People’s Artist Gadir Rustamov lapses into coma

Azerbaijan’s well-known khanende (singer), People’s Artist Gadir Rustamov faced serious health problems.

People’s Artist Arif Babayev said that Rustamov was hospitalized to one of the hospitals in Istanbul, he was in coma. The doctors try to eliminate the problem.

Recently Rustamov’s kidney has been removed. Current problem is related to his only kidney. People’s artist was carried to Istanbul several days ago.

Rustamov was born 1935 in Agdam. He was grown up here as khanende. Firstly got his education in the Azerbaijan State Music School in Hajibaba Huseynov’s class then continued his education in Agdam.

Several mugam dastgahs as “Rast”, “Chahargah” in his performance have been recorded and are saved in the Radio Fund.
