Jazz pianist, recipient of Presidential scholarship Isfar Sarabski gave a concert organized by the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) in Berlin, Germany. According to the TEAS, chairman of the society Tale Heydarov touched on characteristic features of Azerbaijani jazz and its combination with mugham.
“Baku hosts international jazz festival every year,” he added. Isfar Sarabski performed music pieces by classic Azeri and foreign composers, as well as his own ones in the concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence.
Sarabski was accompanied by bassist Makar Novikov and drummer Alexander Mashin. The concert was broadcasted by Jazz Radio.
