Elvene-year-old boy Yasin Hasanov, who has won numerous music competitions, will represent Azerbaijan at the international music contest in Europe.

Buta Arts Centre will provide support to Yasin Hasanov, a winner of international competitions and a gifted son of Azerbaijan for his participation in the “Berliner Perle” pop-music contest. The Contest will be held in Berlin, Germany between the dates 24 – 28, November 2011. The Contest will be broadcasted on German TV. The contest promotes young singing talents and fosters cultural relations among the countries. The contest is mostly aimed at discovering young talented singers and music bands, promoting them around the globe and facilitating cultural relations between countries. Moreover, the contest is intended to boost the professional level of singers and vocal groups.

Yasin Hasanov will represent Azerbaijan in the “Pop singer” category in the age range 10-13 years. Young performers are allowed to make free choice of one song in their native language. They also should perform one world hit in the Compulsory program. The winner will be chosen by a special jury consisting of show business professionals, European pop stars and mass media representatives.

Director of Buta Arts Centre Nasib Piriev said the centre adheres to the once taken mission of promoting and popularizing the national culture of Azerbaijan around the world. "We will keep supporting talented children of our country in future. We strongly believe that Yasin will represent Azerbaijan on a very high level, as he usually does”.

The Buta Arts Centre was established in 2004 to promote the arts of Azerbaijan. Nowadays, however, it collaborates with artists from around the world and takes part in major international arts and cultural events. Buta strives to celebrate Azerbaijani arts all around the world and the centre’s work in this regard has already brought about great benefits. Last year, the Buta Arts Centre celebrated its fifth year of existence with a 100-day festival of Azerbaijani arts in London.
