ccording to a Living Social Travel and Mandala Research survey of the world tourists, American labeled as the “World’s Worst Tourists”. The basis of the survey was “Sticky fingers”. Apparently American tourists feel that when they are at a hotel it is free reign to take what ever they please.
The Chinese ranks a respectable number 2, while the French took the3rd, the Japanese the 4th and the Russians the 5th places respectively. The ranking list also includes the tourists from Korea, India, Germany, Spain and Great Britain.
Thirty-nine percent of U.S. travelers admitted to having helped themselves to items from hotels. The most pilfered loot, according to the survey, includes: Towels (28 percent), bathrobes (8 percent), batteries (5 percent), pillows (4 percent), remote controls (3 percent), sheets (3 percent), bibles (3 percent) and umbrellas (3 percent).
Americans, Canadians and Australians all gave U.S. tourists the worst ranking on the survey, while Irish respondents indicated their British neighbors were the worst, and the British called out the Germans for bad travel behavior.
