A goalkeeper in Bosnia played a 90-minute football game after being shot in the head by a stray bullet, and went on to only concede a single goal for his team.
Amateur stopper Dusko Krtalica, 51, was playing in a tournament in the Sarajevo suburb of Boljakov Potok, and soon complained of a headache he assumed was caused by hitting his head on the post while making a save.
But he then complained of a stiff arm and having difficulty speaking, according to Saraejevo newspaper Dnenvi Avas, and was driven to a local hospital where doctors incredibly found a 9mm bullet lodged in his cranium.
Krtalica had the bullet removed in surgery, and is now in a stable condition. According to the newspaper, a 42-year-old man was arrested near the pitch.
Police searched the area to find three weddings in the suburb that day, and stray bullets from one feisty encounter found their to Krtalica`s pitch.
