Man sews up his own leg in the hospital

A man has been reported to the police after sewing up a wound in his own leg after getting frustrated while waiting at hospital. The 32-year-old, named Jonas, had been in a treatment room for an hour after slicing his leg on the edge of a kitchen stove while doing some DIY at home, The Local reports.

Jonas told the Sundsvall Tidning: "It took such a long time. I first went to the health clinic, but it was closed.

"So I rang the medical help line and they told me that it shouldn't be closed, so I went to emergency and sat there."

He added of his decision to stitch up his own leg: "They had set out a needle and thread and so I decided to take the matter into my hands."

Jonas, who admitted to having no previous experience in sewing wounds, was then reported on suspicion of criminal dispossession for using the hospital's equipment.
