Woman stabs her former boyfriend to death on his wedding day in Baku

Vusal Abbasov was hospitalized with severe stab wounds in his chest to the hospital No. 3. on Tuesday. Later on, Nizami District police detained Chinara Mammadova as a suspect. The police revealed that Chinara Mammadova stabbed Vusal Abbasov to take revenge.  
 
Mammadova said during interrogation that she was Abbasov’s former girlfriend. They dated for three years and were planning to get married before Abbasov one day sent her a text message, saying that he had a change of heart, and he is leaving her for another woman. To make his girlfriend to believe in his words, he even told her the venue and time of his wedding and sent her an invitation card, too.

Afterwards, Chinara called Vusal when he was at babers’ to tell him she wants to meet him on his wedding day. She came to the barbers with her mother and inflicted two stabbed wounds to her ex man.

Abbasov was hospitalized in critical condition right after the attack. The bride had to attend the wedding party without her bridegroom. The guests of the wedding were told Vusal was being operated on after sudden acute pains in his appendicitis. The true reason of the bridegroom’s absence became known after police officers took Vusal’s uncle and his cousin from the wedding party to the police office to give a statement.
