Vets replace tortoise leg with wheel - VIDEO

Vets in Washington have replaced the front left leg of a tortoise with a wheel.

After 12-year-old Gamera suffered severe burns, staff at Washington State University's (WSU) College of Veterinary Medicine had to amputate the limb to save his life.

The vets then attached a swivelling wheel to his shell to allow the African spur-thighed tortoise to move about freely.
