A new boutique dog wash station in Germany enables pet owners to give their pooch a personal pampering comparable to that offered at the best luxury spas.
The self-service 'Dog an der Koe' has been installed in Leipzig, and its warm water, shampoo and hairdryer services have already proved a hit with canines - and their owners.
Two-year-old Labrador Mara appeared to thoroughly enjoy her spa treatment, perhaps a little too much, having attempted to eat some shampoo off her nose mid shower.
After a thorough scrub, Mara shook herself dry before having her therapy finished off with a warm blow-dry.
As if all that were not enough, the Labrador was then wrapped in a luxury blue bathrobe with red trim.
These boutique treatments need not cost owners an arm and a leg either, with prices ranging from ˆ4 for a five minute treatment, up to ˆ8 for a 15-minute full-on pamper, according to the Daily Mail.
Cost aside, though, the overriding advantage for those with pets is most definitely avoiding the aftermath of attempting to wash their dog in their own bathroom.
In the UK, however, dog lover and fan of The Only Way Is Essex Victoria Barter has taken canine grooming to a whole new level.
Inspired by the obsession with the vajazzle beauty treatment on the reality show, Barter decorated pet dog Melrose's bottom - using shiny coloured stickers.
