About 50 Azeri citizens held action in front of the Ombudsman’s Office

The action participants demanded from Commissioner on Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova to receive them and organize their meeting with one of the responsible persons of the President’s Office after that.

It must be mentioned that, the plaintiffs met the Ombudsman on March 24.

The Commissioner on Human Rights promised the plaintiffs that, she will organize their meeting with the director of the Department on law enforcement bodies of President’s Office Fuad Aleskerov. But then Elmira Suleymanova said that, the meeting will not realize.

Thus, F. Aleskerov said that, he didn’t want to meet them saying that, he met them before. The plaintiffs decided to hold a sitting action after that.

One of the plaintiffs Zahida Azizova said to the spokesman of APA that, they demand from the commissioner to fulfill her mission function:”When we said to her that, we complain of someone she says” It is not up to me”. We want the Ombudsman to inform the President about us. We are not politicians but plaintiffs. We don’t want our action to be used for other ambitions. Simply, we call all the community as well as the citizens, and law protectors to support us. We hope the community will support our right demand.”

It must be noted that, the action participants are complaining of the unjust decisions of the courts, tyrannies of the officials and police. Elsever Najafaov – deputy director of Human rights Protection Department of Ombudsman’s Office informed APA that, E.Suleymanova received these plaintiffs for several times, interested in their problems: ”Mrs.Elmira organized their meeting with relevant responsible persons.These meeting were held by the Ombudsman’s participation. Their appeals were looked through and responded. But under the Constitution, the Ombudsman is not responsible for these matters. Mrs.Elmira works in the frame of her responsibility, appeal relevant organizations. These persons gathered here to express their opinions core freely and convenient for them. Mrs.Elmira will not be in the office as she has gone to other ceremony.”
