New decree on pardoning to expect in second half of September

Head of the Committee on Democracy and Human Rights Chingiz Ganizade told Trend.

According to him, it results from the requirements of the Regulation “On Pardoning”.

«The Regulation notes, that the head of the state shall sign a pardoning decree 4 times a year. This year the President has already signed 2 decrees on pardoning: on 20 March and 20 June. The head of the state is expected take advantage of his status and sign the decree in September», Ganizade said.

The next decree on pardoning may finally solve the “political prisoners” issue in the country.
