Five countries of the Caspian region discuss the sea problems at Alma-Ata, Kazachstan

The fluctuations of the Caspian Sea's water level will be discussed at a conference on provision of a stable development of the coastal line of the Caspian sea, that started on Tuesday in Alma- Ata, Kazachstan.

The conference will also focus on the state of coastal landscape, problems and ways of their resolution. Organized by the Caspian Ecology Program the event brought together representatives of five Caspian littoral countries – Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran. Amir Aliyev, the head of the Marine Hydro-meteorology Center of the National Hydro-meteorology Department of the Ecology Ministry, represents Azerbaijan at the conference.
