Iran takes initiative and proposes for countries of Caspian sea to meet in Tehran

Summit of Caspian littoral countries can be held in Tehran approximately in March 2006, Gulamali Haddad Adel, the chairman of the Assembly of Islamic Council [parliament], said as a result of a meeting with the chairman of the Council of Federation, Sergey Mironov. He clarified that the concrete term of the event is still to be defined.

The Iranian speaker underlined that the Caspian status can be defined through following fair interests of the Caspian states, ITAR-TASS reports.
