The House of Lords was to respond to the allegations on Wednesday in a letter to the pro-Armenian Baroness Caroline Cox, who raised the claim at the upper house of parliament.
A British official said the allegations come from Cox’s subjective views and the chamber sees no need to discuss the matter.
British ambassador to Azerbaijan Laurie Bristow agreed with the statement, saying such claims are forwarded to the chamber every year, and this one was not any different.
The issue on the alleged destruction of graves was included in the House of Lords agenda on December 20. Baroness Cox also suggested then that the issue over the alleged destruction of ancient Armenian churches in Azerbaijan be raised on an international level through the country’s representative at UNESCO
