Congress of World Azerbaijanis will appeal to Council of Europe, UNO, France, Germany and Great Britain

The information was given to APA by head of the press service of CWA Ali Nijat. According to him, the appeal asks international organizations and the aforesaid countries to urge Iran not to violate human rights. A.Nijat said that 12 Azerbaijani have already been arrested by Iranian law enforcement bodies on accusation of Pan-Turkism. Iranian court considers their cases at present.

Official of CWA said that they will not appeal to State Committee on work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad: “interference of state structure in such issues can result in breach of intergovernmental ties. So, we are not interested in involving State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad in the resolution of this problem”.
