Novruz Mammadov: "Not missing the resolution opportunity of the conflict depends on Armenia's position in all circumstances"

"In fact, it is necessary to agree to it. Thus, the authority of Azerbaijan has made strong efforts for the resolution of the conflict so far. This has lead to strengthening of Azerbaijan's position on the regulation of the conflict in different states and in different organizations", Novruz Mammadov, director of President's Office department for foreign relations told, APA reports.

Stating that Azerbaijan demonstrates its will for peaceful resolution of the conflict, Novruz Mammadov stressed that the international organizations were taking strong interest to the regulation of the problem too: "If we observe the processes ongoing in Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus we can be sure that the whole world wants stability and security to be restored here. Therefore, they become interested in the solution of the conflict. Of course, it would be much better if this interest turns into demand. However, taking these into consideration, we think, Armenian side will also evaluate the situation right and demonstrate constructive position with regard to the resolution of the problem. We can hope for improvements in this field if it is so. Minsk Group co-chairs visit Azerbaijan for this purpose. They will meet with Azerbaijani President and discuss his upcoming meeting with Armenian President".

As to the head of the department saying that realization of an opportunity to solve the problem depends on Armenia in all cases, the administration of Armenia always pursues dishonest policy: "They understand their very hard situation and feel influence of international union and organization; they also affected with the increase of development and influence of Azerbaijan in the region. Although they know all these factors, they still do not want to give up their ideas and claims. Sometimes they are too much concerned in their claims to land. The reason of it is that the administration of Armenia comes to authority on the basis of the conflict and remains in office. Sometimes they want to prolong their authority through these means. That is why, today they make this statement and tomorrow quite different one in view of solution of the conflict. One of these statements is directed to population of the country and another one to international organizations and public. That is why we are doubtful about stability and inequivocalness of their position. Today Armenians do not have such a will to assess the existing situation correctly and be constructive".
